KETHARA GOWRI VIRATHAM BEGINNING
Kedara Gowri Vratham (also spelled Kethara Gowri Vratham) is a significant Hindu vratham (vow/ritual observance) dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati (Gowri). It is mainly observed by devotees of Lord Shiva, especially in South India, particularly Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
đź”± What is Kedara Gowri Vratham?
Date: It is observed on the Amavasya (new moon day) during the month of Aippasi (Tamil calendar), which usually falls in October–November. This coincides with Deepavali/Diwali in some years.
The vratham culminates in the worship of Kedareswarar, a form of Lord Shiva.
