Kanda Shashti (also spelled Skanda Sashti) is a major Hindu religious observance dedicated to Lord Murugan (also known as Kanda, Skanda, Subramanya, or Kartikeya), the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

It is especially significant for Tamil Hindus and is observed with great devotion, particularly in Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and other places with Murugan temples.
